Porcia Castle

The Renaissance palace in the centre of Spittal an der Drau was built in the 16th century for Gabriel von Salamanca and is regarded as one of the finest Renaissance buildings in Austria. It houses the Museum of Folk Culture. In summer the arcaded courtyard is a stage for theatre and concerts, best known for the Komödienspiele Porcia comedy festival.
