code43.at tells the story of Austria through its places: sites, events, routes and the stories behind them – in German, English, Chinese and Arabic.
What you will find here
- Places with their address, background and what is happening there.
- Events with date, venue and price – as far as they are known.
- Routes as a sequence of stops, without a map but with time for detours.
- The journal with stories about places, people and what connects them.
How we work
- Facts come from traceable sources; we list them below each piece.
- We keep fact, legend, scholarly opinion and personal impression apart.
- Unknown stays unknown: we never invent opening hours, prices or dates. A missing price does not mean "free".
- We check dates with the organiser or venue. If a source changes, our editors review the details before we update them.
Artificial intelligence
We use AI for structure and first translation drafts – never as a source of facts. Every piece is checked by a person before publication: names, dates, links and meaning.
Independence and advertising
Advertising is labelled "Advertisement" and is never an editorial recommendation. We disclose commercial relationships. The "top" places on the homepage are an editorial selection, not a ranking.
Four languages
Each language version appears once it is finished and checked. If a version is missing, we do not quietly show another language instead.
