The home of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien (Society of Friends of Music) was designed by Theophil Hansen and opened in 1870. Its Great Hall, called the "Golden Hall" for its rich gilding, is regarded as one of the acoustically finest concert halls in the world; the Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Concert is broadcast from here every year. There are also the Brahms Hall and several smaller halls.

Please check the programme and tickets with the Musikverein.
