Melk Abbey

The Benedictine abbey towers on a rock above the Danube at the entrance to the Wachau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Today's Baroque complex was built in the 18th century to plans by Jakob Prandtauer; the abbey church, the Marble Hall and the library are especially famous. The abbey is also a place for music, for example with Baroque concerts in its historic rooms.

Please check concert dates, tours and opening hours with the abbey.
