Esterházy Palace

The palace in the centre of Eisenstadt has been the residence of the Esterházy princes since the 17th century. Joseph Haydn served them as Kapellmeister for decades, and many of his works were first performed here. The magnificent Haydn Hall is still a sought-after concert hall today, above all for Haydn's music. The palace also has exhibitions on the Esterházy family and on Haydn.
